Itinerary
Depart from Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun early in the morning. Drive towards Sari Village via Devprayag and Rudraprayag. The journey covers approximately 180 km, taking about 7–8 hours. Along the way, visit the Devprayag Sangam and Rudraprayag Sangam. Arrive at Sari Village and check in at your accommodation. In the evening, enjoy a walk around the village and soak in the stunning Himalayan sunset views. Overnight stay at Sari Village
Start the day with a morning trek to Deoriatal from Sari Village, covering a distance of 2.5 km. Enjoy the beautiful views of Chaukhamba reflected in the lake and trek through a serene forest trail. After the trek, return to Sari Village for a quick refresh before driving to Chopta, which takes about 1 hour. Overnight Stay in Chopta.
Begin your Tungnath and Chandrashila trek early at 6 AM. Start from Chopta, trekking 3.5 km to reach Tungnath Temple, the highest Shiva temple in the world. After visiting the temple, continue the trek for another 1 km to reach the summit of Chandrashila. Enjoy breathtaking 360° views of the Himalayas, including Chaukhamba, Nanda Devi, Kedarnath Peak, and the Bandarpoonch range. Return to Chopta by the afternoon, where you can relax and enjoy. Overnight stay in Chopta.
After breakfast, begin your scenic drive back from Chopta to Rishikesh, passing through the beautiful confluences of Rudraprayag and Devprayag. On the way, you may take optional stops to visit the sacred Dhari Devi Temple.
By evening, arrive in Rishikesh, where your memorable Himalayan journey comes to an end. If time permits, you can attend the peaceful Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat or enjoy some local shopping and café hopping around the ghats before concluding the trip with wonderful memories of Chopta, Tungnath, and Chandrashila. 🌄
